Propagation for U3A

Fifteen U3A members attended the plant propagation morning at The Tucker Patch recently.

Local propagation expert Marnie Johnson led the class through the reasons for greater success with growing-on of plant cuttings including potting media, care and watering, and the number of ways to propagate including stem cuttings, leaf and leaf-bud cuttings, and cane, root, bulb or rhizome sections.

All class members took home their potted up cuttings from the morning’s work, and don’t forget, Marnie says, to name and date the cuttings!
